August & September 2026 Fishing Report

Late summer into autumn brought continued good river fishing. How we achieved it simply changed. We swapped from targeting PM fishing during august, too daytime fishing through most of September. Net result, clients continued to enjoy action on both nymph and dry fly techniques. With another river trout season’s end approaching rapidly, we unfortunately have no remaining availability for 2026. The Good news however, is we will be running some alternative river trips from November onwards. Look out for further details via our newsletter and social media channels!

Stillwater fishing has also started its upward trend, with a much cooler September, helping chill down water temperatures on lakes. During the past 2 weeks, several clients have experienced sport with quality rainbows while using mini lures and nymphs. The lake fishing only gets better now, right through to the year’s end! We are looking forward to sharing it with you.🙂
