Fly fishing lessons take place at picturesque Midlands locations, easily accessed from the counties of Staffordshire, Shropshire, Cheshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire. The major cities of Birmingham and Manchester are within one hour’s drive time.
For beginners, enjoy a valuable introduction to the skills of fly fishing. Benefit from 1-2-1 tuition and a lesson tailored specifically for you or your group.

Join us for a 1 day beginners fly fishing course to learn the core skills of catching trout on fly.
Courses run 10am to 4pm at Loynton Trout Fisheries, located on the county borders of Staffordshire, Shropshire and Cheshire.
Prices shown are per person & include fishing fees, equipment, tuition, plus course notes and video to ensure you remember everything!

Fly Casting Lessons

Fly casting lessons are available for beginners and experienced fly fishers at Loynton, near Stafford. We coach single and double hand casts covering all freshwater & saltwater techniques. For example, overhead fly cast, handling strong winds & big flies, single and double haul techniques, roll & spey casting techniques and advanced presentation casts.
Lessons cost £80 for 1 person or £120 for 2 people and are 2 hours in length. Available Mondays & Sundays. If you would like a lesson outside of these days, please contact Steve on 07901 744 869 or send us a message to discuss your requirements.

Located at Loynton Lakes on the Staffordshire/Shropshire border, a short drive from Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Cheshire and within one hours drive of Birmingham and Manchester. Available all year round.

River Fly Fishing Lessons

Personalised river fly fishing lessons are available for people once they have acquired basic fly fishing skills. Located near Bakewell, Derbyshire, a short drive from Staffordshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Yorkshire and within one hours drive from Manchester.
Lessons are available at this location from April 1st — October 6th. Please advise dates you would like, we will confirm availability as numbers are limited at this venue.
