Between September and now there has been a dramatic change. Stillwater trout fishing has exploded in terms of productivity, action increasing in relation to water temperatures falling. Our river trout season ended early October on a real high with some good fish caught right to the end.
Then it was time for our Autumn salmon trip to Scotland. Despite high water conditions throughout the week, it proved to be both an exciting and enjoyable trip with a great group of people.
Right now trout are enjoying a feeding frenzy, chasing small fish on the lakes. This can provide some very exciting streamer fishing. In addition to this, dry flies are still scoring well when conditions are right and buzzers are hatching a plenty. So nymph wise bloodworm, buzzers, and sparse general nymphs are working very well. Lessons for all this and more are available daily.
We look forward to seeing you waterside!
