Fishing Report February 2020

Spring and a new river trout season are in sight now, so we’ve been keeping an eye on the Derbyshire Wye. It’s our first river venue to open on March 18th. While nymph fishing dominates during the first month, hatches occur most days, providing dry fly opportunities between late morning and mid afternoon typically. Shrimp and caddis patterns, plus a few beadhead PTN/HE nymphs are go to flies. For dries, carry parachute Adams, F fly and shuttlecocks.
