Welcome to our Christmas Special issue of The Inside Line! It’s a perfect time to review 2024 and plan ahead for fishing throughout 2025. During 2024, we hit three milestones, of which we are proud. It’s been 25 years since Steve started coaching and guiding people. 20 years since it became our full-time occupation. While many people talk of a 10,000 hour rule to achieve mastery(whatever that means), we passed 10,000 people who we have helped enjoy fly fishing, during 25 years. We thank every one of you and look forward to 2025 with renewed energy, passion for coaching people, and sharing this wonderful sport!

A Time for Reflection
A method I have used for years and continue to (to the point that I’ve updated a previous feature with new thoughts and findings). They’ve recently added a podcast to the Chanel as well. Great advice and highly entertaining, Kelly never gets boring!🎣🙂
On the subject of YouTube, a great resource for “free” entertainment and learning, consider, in searching for “high quality information” how much time does it take, and have you eliminated the poor quality (i.e. misinformation)?
Custom Fly Rods
While I think the quality of entry level/budget fly rods offers amazing value for money today, I’ve been questioning whether premium rods now offer fly fishers a good option or if your money is better spent elsewhere.
